***** apologies friends, heros and amateur head-shrinks. i've been absent more and more i had a recent scare with a large and painful lump on my testicle and have a little wait to find out just what it is. probably not the Big C but put the shits up me nonetheless, as uncle Derek has just passed-over curtesy of that nasty bastard.  GP says most likely a cyst but the size, shape and location have him wondering too ??? i've struggled to get back my interest in DA other than a few interesting folk i've met, and my membership has lapsed. not sure whether i have the enrgy to renew yet, but anyhoo ... if anyone fancies helping out with the admi

***** i bid a welcome return to the Sun in the East of England this spring. just enjoyed 11 sun-filled days holiday in Norfolk (my home), although the biting wind killed the wonderful heat a little [but i'm a caveman so not too worried] for the first time in 7 years i took some holiday without the need to carry my study materials with me, and it was fabulous. i also shook the cob-webs from the camera (and borrowed spare body) and ventured into the wilds Hickling NWT - coming along nicely already; grasshoppers warbler, blackcap, snipe, woodcock, and the otters at play Foxley Wood NWT - perfect delight, dappled sunlight, great oaks and Old
